Samie Kayani
Architect and researcher bridging culture, heritage, and sustainable urbanism across the Middle East and beyond.

Dr Samie Kayani works at the Earthna Centre (Qatar Foundation) on the Architecture and Sustainable Urbanism Programme. He is an architecture graduate from the UK, trained as an architect in Barcelona, and awarded a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He led the on-site efforts to restore the last heritage of Makkah, which formed his PhD at the ArCHIAM Research Centre, University of Liverpool. Active in the INTBAU network since 2016, his ongoing work explores the intersection of culture, heritage, and development.
